About the Reading Fringe FestivalThe Reading Fringe Festival was started in 2005 after a group of musicians decided to put on some events in the week running up to the Carling Reading Festival. This rapidly expanded to become an event that included Art and Dance as well. In 2006 the festival wants to expand to include other arts and cultural events from the local area. What do the Reading Fringe Festival Committee do? The Reading Fringe is open to everyone, anyone can put on an event in Reading and it will become part of the Fringe. The committee doesn’t organise or fund events, but we will help you make the contacts that you need so you can do it yourselves.
