Alan McGee's Death Disco featuring Alan McGee + guests
Alan McGee's Death Disco Featuring DJs Alan McGee (creation / Poptones) + guests and live music by Client (mute) + Olympus Mons (Winner Of 2006 Student Music Awards). Alan McGee's Death Disco is a highly acclaimed club night that has attracted previous guest DJs from artists and groups such as Dirty Pretty Things, Courtney Love, Tim Burgess, Mick Jones, Shane MacGowan, the Hives and Primal Scream. Described by The Guardian as "...a haven for indie celebs and punk veterans", the night is a regular event in London and New York and will play a one-off night in Reading as part of the Reading Fringe Festival. Live music will be provided by Client whose recent releases have included collaborations with Pete Doherty, Carl Barat and Martin Gore. Supporting Client is the superb Olympus Mons, winners of this year's 3 National Student Music Awards. Music will be played on two floors with guest DJs playing a mix of quality music from The Velvet Underground and The Stooges to The Clash, The Smiths, The Strokes, Primal Scream, The Pixies, The Libertines etc. Alan McGee and the bands will play the main room.Location: Reading Fez, 5-6 Gun Street, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 2JR
